Proofing

Job proofing in the realms of artworking and print production is an essential process that involves meticulously reviewing and verifying the accuracy of design files prior to their transition into the printing phase. This critical step plays a vital role in ensuring that every element including colours, layouts, and text is in perfect alignment with the required specifications and the client’s expectations. By identifying and addressing any discrepancies or errors early in the process, job proofing effectively helps to avert potentially costly mistakes and delays, which can disrupt the overall production timeline This proactive approach not only saves time and resources but also contributes to a more seamless and efficient workflow.
At 1194, we take pride in offering detailed proofing documents that comprehensively outline all pertinent job information and visuals. These documents serve as an invaluable reference point for both our clients and the production teams, ensuring that involved is on the same page regarding the project's goals, details, and specifications. This level of clarity and transparency not only enhances communication throughout the production process but also underscores the importance of quality control in achieving a successful and polished final product that meets or exceeds expectations.

With that said, this is not a compulsory thing to have. Proofing documents do take additional time to create as this is done all manually, so if you are in a rush or need files back quickly, then we would advise to not have proofing documents made on this occasion. Some clients would rather send back the print ready PDFs for proof approvals, instead of using documents. But this service is available nevertheless if you need it!
